Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary

Project Overview

The Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School project entailed the demolition of the existing school and associated site work to accommodate the new building and site facilities. The new building spans 68,000 SF and features both one and two-story portions. Designed to cater to diverse educational needs, the facility houses classrooms, collaborative spaces, art and music rooms, a media center, fitness center, administrative facilities, and a family community resource center.

With a focus on fostering a vibrant learning environment, the building opens up to two expansive outdoor courtyard areas. These courtyards serve as versatile spaces for gathering, engaging in activities, and facilitating learning experiences. Additionally, the courtyards seamlessly transition into outdoor play areas, complete with playground equipment and a covered play structure, enhancing the school’s recreational offerings for students.
