Madras Aquatic Center - Madras, OR
Atop the east hills of Madras with triple glazed windows this 27,000 SF building, Madras Aquatic Center adds pleasing natural aesthetics to the evolving look and feel of Jefferson County. Within the structure a college standard, 3,800 SF lap pool is found with a depth of 12.5 feet along with a relaxation spa and lazy river. Equipped with the latest in sustainability concepts the structure allows for multi-functional spaces, a lobby with fireplace seating, and an exterior deck which highlights mountain and city views. All exterior and interior features the pools themselves were completed in one year’s time.
La Pine Senior Center - La Pine, OR
LaPine Senior Center is located in Deschutes County, the outdoor recreation capital of Oregon. A Community Support Center for seniors, LaPine Senior Center is a safe and secure place to gather, learn, and socialize. Having outgrown their previous senior center, an easily-accessible and wheelchair-friendly facility was needed for LaPine citizens. This Craftsman-style facility provides a larger kitchen for Meals-on-Wheels plus a multi-purpose dining hall serving up to 190 people. Completed in 2006, LaPine Senior Center is the ultimate retreat for the seniors of South Deschutes County, spanning 2.5 acres in all.
